Questions
Does the MKV look worse?
Not with the Terminal line, which moves the picture and the sound into the MKV exactly as they are. HandBrake encodes the video again as VP9, which drops a little detail.
What does the copy line do?
It puts the picture and the sound in an MKV without encoding them again, so it takes seconds. -c copy means that.
Will the MKV be smaller?
The copy line gives about the same size as the MP4. HandBrake encodes the video again, so its size follows its preset.
Can I convert a whole folder at once?
Yes. Drop them all here. In Terminal, one line converts every MP4 in the folder.
